Why don't you give exact delivery time?

Delivery time is estimated on our previous experiences. We give estimations only, because we order from outside Hungary, and the delivery time mainly depends on how quickly the publisher supplies the book. Faster or slower deliveries both happen, but we do our best to supply as quickly as possible.

    Long description:

The Clinician?s Manual and its accompanying workbook, I Believe in Me, Not OCB! are the first known manuals to combine cognitive behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis to treat obsessive-compulsive behavior (OCB) in children and youth with autism. The Clinician?s Manual serves as a practical guide for therapists, beginning with chapters that explain the theoretical underpinnings of OCBs, adaptations for autism, and guidance on clinical and functional behavioral assessment that are key to administering the nine treatment sessions that follow.

Our evidence-based treatment incorporates functional behavioral assessment, CBT skills training, caregiver coaching, and social skills activities in a nine-week progressive program. Caregiver and child report data inform progress throughout the program. Generalization and maintenance are promoted through weekly caregiver coaching modules. Treatment can be delivered in a group or individual format and focuses on reducing OCBs with the ultimate goal of increasing quality of life.

The manual provides all clinician, child, and caregiver instructions as well as materials to implement functional behavior-based CBT with precision. These manuals are a vital resource for clinicians working with autistic children and youth and their families.

"These two manuals provide the best of both worlds of practice and research. They are the result of years of application and rigorous research into the effectiveness of a function-based approach to obsessive compulsive behavior. I highly recommend them to families, practitioners and researchers."

    Peter Sturmey, PhD

"Based on over 20 years of research and clinical practice, this innovative program provides a practical, accessible approach to treating the obsessive-compulsive behaviours often seen in autistic (and other) children. Though flexible and individualized, it is very systematic and well-structured and is thoroughly grounded in theory and data.  It could be billed as cognitive BEHAVIOUR therapy, with the solid theoretical base of Functional Behaviour Assessment providing an invaluable improvement on existing CBT methods."

Adrienne Perry, PhD, C. Psych., RBA (Ont.), BCBA-D, Clinical Psychologist, Behaviour Analyst, Full Professor, York University, Toronto, Canada
