Elemental Gestures", die 2015 in der Berliner Akademie der Künste begannund anschließend in Mons, Wuppertal sowie im Kunstmuseum Bern 2017 gezeigt wurde, machte die zentralePosition von Terry Fox für die Entwicklung der Kunst seit den 1970er Jahren deutlich. Sie zeigte ihnnicht nur als Pionier der Performance, Videokunst und Klanginstallation, sondern präsentierte zudem seineexperimentelle Auseinandersetzung mit Sprache und Raum. Ein Symposium anlässlich der Berner Ausstellungreflektierte in unterschiedlichen Ansätzen die Performances und Installationen dieses europäischenAmeri kaners in der Schweiz.
